The hotel is located in the very centre of Prague within very easy walking distance of the main railway station, trams and metro station. Old Town Square is very close by as is Charles Bridge.

In spite of its rather drab façade, the Axa Hotel does provide a no-nonsense option with clean, comfortable accommodation at reasonable prices. Accessible via a passageway from the street, the small lobby is a bit tacky, with plastic flowers, lots of mirrors and glaring lights. It also has display cabinets with souvenirs for sale and a small seating area to the rear. Funky and functional, the 134 guestrooms are reasonably sized and decorated using light, warm colours. Choose a room at the back as trams race past the front. The hotel offers a rich Continental buffet every morning in the bright, welcoming breakfast room, which is located on the ground floor. The large swimming pool and gym downstairs is popular with both locals and guests.
