An excellent choice for the budget conscious leisure visitor to Prague, looking to stay in the centre of the city, the Merkur Hotel features a modern, pale yellow façade. The cosy lobby has a small seating area situated close to the reception desk. Though quite spartan, it offers easy access to the terrace and the restaurant/bar area. Also appointed in a fairly basic style, the 54 guestrooms feature quite contemporary décor and have all the conveniences expected from a hotel of this standard. All are clean, comfortable and well looked after, as are the en suite bathrooms. Decorated in a moody style, which creates a warm atmosphere, the restaurant serves both Bohemian specialities and international dishes.
